Chattanooga Audubon Society is excited to announce that we are planning Red Hawk Festival for May of 2027!
Red Hawk Festival is a celebration of two things: the land we love, and the Indigenous cultures ancestral to the Chattanooga area!
Join us at Audubon Acres for food, art, dancing, music, demonstrations, and more!
The federally recognized Tribal Nations with ancestry connected to Hamilton County, TN are:
Alabama-Coushatta Tribe of Texas
Cherokee Nation
Coushatta Tribe of Louisiana
Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians
Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma
Mvskoke (Creek) Nation
United Keetoowah Band of Cherokee Indians

Note: Our goal is to have as many federally enrolled tribal members featured for our vendors/demonstrators as possible. Applications are open to all, but members of any federally recognized tribe will be given first preference.
