Canning Classes with Feathers & Fruit
March 14th, May 2nd, July 25th, and September 26th from 5:30pm-8:30pm
Our friend Jessie Gantt-Temple from Feathers & Fruit will be at Audubon Acres every other month to teach us how to can!
Your fee per person gets you three hours of class, a quart of your own and lots of knowledge that will make you feel like a professional homesteader Byob, friends and food as it will be a fun interactive class & you drink every time I say prep as there's always lots of prepping in food preservation. Don't worry, we only prep for the first hour. March 14th (pickled eggs) May 2nd (jam or marmalade) July 25th (Basil Garlic Mater sauce) September 26th (Spiced Apples) Join us for a delightful and educational hands-on seasonal canning class, where we delve into the art and science of preserving the bounties of each season. Get hands-on experience in the art of canning as you work with fresh, locally sourced produce. Learn the proper methods for preparation, sterilization, and sealing to guarantee safe and flavorful preserved foods.

All necessary canning materials will be provided. This class will focus on safe canning practices, ensuring that participants gain the confidence to continue preserving seasonal delights at home.
