Avian Discovery Days will be a 2 hour program with four hands-on stations to teach your students about various aspects of life as a bird. As students rotate through each station, they will explore and identify different birds in forest and meadow habitats, learn about Oology (the study of bird eggs), learn about migration patterns and challenges, and experience a real-life Bird of Prey Demonstration presented by Booker T. Washington State Park rangers.
The event will run for 3 days from 9am to 1:30 pm. Each group will need to purchase tickets in advance. Tickets are non-refundable unless the event is canceled by the Chattanooga Audubon Society. Visitors are also encouraged to walk the Audubon Acres trails until 4:30pm the day of your visit!
