Mackey Branch Wetland

9 Acres in East Brainerd

Contact Us
Picture
Donated to Chattanooga Audubon in 2013, the Mackey Branch Wetland is a small, low-lying flood plain in the heart of East Brainerd.  The property is protected against any future development and preserved for the protection of the wildlife who dwell there.  Wetlands of all types, are a valuable and threatened ecosystem worldwide, and Chattanooga Audubon is pleased to be a partner in protecting this small, but biologically diverse site.

Following the wishes of the donors, the Meadow Acres Homeowners Association, the wetlands are not open to the public, however are available for scientific field work and study.  If you are interested in siting a  project here, please contact us via the button above.
