Avian Learning Days | March 30 - April 1
2-hour program with four hands-on stations to teach your students about various aspects of life as a bird. As they rotate through each station, they will explore different bird habitats, learn about eggs, build their own bird nest, and meet some real-life birds of prey.
Little Owl Festival & 5k | June 6
Live music as well as arts, crafts, food vendors and 5k run! Enjoy children's activities, historical exhibits, and wildlife demonstrations while spending a day at beautiful Audubon Acres. Festival free to CAS members!
Summer Camps | July
Send your kids on an adventure! Each week long camp is spent learning and playing in South Chickamauga Creek at Audubon Acres. Campers learn about water quality, macro-invertebrates, wildlife, and much more.
Tennessee Naturalist Program | August - May
This 10-month program is an excellent resource for adults looking to learn more about our beautiful state, and will give you a good handle on everything from birds to geology, plants to water ecology. Students will receive 40 hours of training from local experts, preparing you to be a more knowledgeable and capable naturalist, and to volunteer in our community. Class meets one Saturday morning every month, so it's perfect for adults with busy schedules.
Acres of Darkness - Haunted Trail & Family Adventure | Fridays & Saturdays in October
Chattanooga's naturally terrifying haunt in the woods features a half mile long haunted trail through the forest. Event also includes a family area, hayride, bonfire, and kiddie trail for younger visitors and families.
Walker Farm Pioneer Days | November 16-21
Our annual celebration of the pioneer era lifestyle and know-how. Geared for elementary aged students and families, this event features hands-on historical demonstrations that will bring history to life.
