Mushroom Foraging 101
NO Sept class
Always wanted to learn how to forage for mushrooms? We've got the class for you! Ryan Marr from Willow Crest Farm and Primitive Survival School will be at Audubon Acres teaching folks the ins and outs of hunting for mushrooms. During this 2-2.5-hour long class, you’ll wander our trails learning to identify common wild, edible, and medicinal mushrooms. You will begin to become familiar with their uses and any dangerous look-alikes, and you may get to taste them depending on what we find! Additionally, you’ll go home with some literature to help you remember everything that you learned. These courses can be taken as stand-alone classes or take all of them to see all of Audubon Acres’ seasonal mushrooms. Please dress weather appropriately, as this class will be outside rain or shine. If the weather is nice, we recommend you bring a sack lunch to enjoy after class at our outdoor picnic tables. Member tickets are $40 and non-member tickets are $45. Spots are limited for this class, so register before they fill up! This class has a minimum of 15 students and will be cancelled should we not reach the minimum. If you have any questions, please email [email protected] or call 423-892-1499 **This is a virtual ticket and nothing will be shipped to you** |
