Family Creek Day with WaterWays
It's time to splish-splash in the creek while we learn more about our waterways and the creatures that inhabit it!
On 8/26 from 10am-12pm our friends at WaterWays will be on hand from to teach us all about the macro-invertebrates and how their presence can be an indication of water quality. During this 2-hour event we'll be catching critters to collect data, learning about the South Chickamauga Creek, and discussing ways to keep our waterways clean. All of this will occur in our creek at Audubon Acres, so be prepared to get a little (or a lot) wet! This experience is $25 for a member family pack (4 people), $30 for a non-member family pack (4 people). Additional individual tickets are available to members for $6 per adult and $3 per child (ages 5-12). Children ages 4-5 are free. Non-member individual tickets are $12 per adult and $6 per child (ages 5-12) Spots are limited! Our event is recommended for ages 4+. We recommend bringing a Personal Flotation Device for non-swimmers. You will be required to sign a waiver upon arrival at Audubon Acres. If you have any questions, please email enull@chattaudubon.org or call 423-892-1499 |
While the event is from 10am-12pm, you are welcome to stay as long as you'd like to practice your newfound skills in the creek!
