Session 2 and session 4 is History Theme
Session 1, 3, and 5 is Nature Theme
What to Expect:
🌳 Outdoor Skills: Learn essential wilderness skills to help you feel at home in nature.
🐾 Animal Encounters: We are excited to have our special guest Creature Feature, they will bring a variety of animal friends for us to see. Our Friends at Booker T Washington State Park and Opie Acres maybe our guests as well. During the History Theme Weeks we will have Historical Demonstrations.
🎮 Games & Activities: Enjoy nature-themed games and team challenges.
💦 Creek Time: Spend your afternoons splashing, exploring, and cooling off in South Chickamauga Creek.
This camp is all about connecting with the natural world in a hands-on, exciting way. Leave the screens behind and experience the joys of the great outdoors!

Parent Handbook
In the document below is everything your child needs to have a great camp experience. Parents will also be emailed information before camp starts.
What to Pack/Wear
What NOT to Pack/Wear
- Day pack to carry belongings
- Lunch
- One or two snacks
- 1-2 refillable Water bottle(s) (water is available for refills)
- Complete change of clothes
- Sturdy walking shoes (ex. sneakers or closed-toed sandals)
- Insect repellent and sunscreen
- Baseball cap or sun hat
- Raincoat (if raining)
- Rain boots/shoes, if desired
- Empty plastic bag for bringing home wet clothes
- Bathing suit (clothes that can get wet) and towel
- Water shoes, (ex. aqua socks, water sandals, or old sneakers)
- PFD (Life Jacket) - Needed for creek play every afternoon
What NOT to Pack/Wear
- Video games, iPods, cell phones or any other electronic toys or devices ( These will be collected from your camper and kept in the office until pickup time)
- Personal items or toys
- Flip flops or Crocs
- Nice clothing or shoes that should not get wet or soiled
