Birding for Beginners
Lead by the Chattanooga Chapter of Tennessee Ornithological Society
Saturday January 27th, 9AM
Join The Chattanooga Chapter of the Tennessee Ornithological Society and Chattanooga Audubon Society for an immersive birding experience at Audubon Acres. This event invites folks brand new to birding to discover, learn, and appreciate the beauty of local bird species in their natural habitat.
Expect a gentle and beginner-friendly walk, covering trails spanning less than 2 miles. The terrain may be uneven or muddy, so wearing waterproof shoes is advised along with weather-appropriate clothing. For those without binoculars, worry not! There are binoculars available for loan during the excursion. Participants are encouraged to bring their water bottles for hydration.
Don't miss this chance to connect with nature and fellow birding enthusiasts while supporting the conservation efforts of both The Chattanooga Chapter of the Tennessee Ornithological Society and the Chattanooga Audubon Society.
While the event is open to all, there is a nominal fee to participate. $5 for members of Chattanooga Audubon Society and $10 for non-members. All fees go towards preserving and conserving our natural resources including our avian friends!
