Bird Banding at Audubon Acres
April 14 and May 12 2024
In this partnership with Nova Conservation, we'll experience nature like never before through this Bird Banding at Audubon Acres. Join seasoned ornithologists Laura Marsh and Dr. David Aborn as we experience the excitement of capturing, studying, and releasing beautiful feathered friends.
Join us for an exciting bird banding event at Audubon Acres, an urban nature sanctuary. Get up close and personal with our native birds as we carefully capture, study, and band them for research purposes, while learning about the fascinating world of bird migration and conservation efforts. This in-person event offers a unique opportunity to witness the delicate process of banding birds, all while enjoying the beautiful surroundings of Audubon Acres. Dr. David Aborn and Laura Marsh are local bird banders with a passion for avian conservation. Don't miss out on this amazing chance to connect with nature and deepen your understanding of our feathered friends! Proceeds will go to Chattanooga Audubon Society, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that relies on charitable contributions from our community to preserve and protect nature for generations to come. |
