Contract Muralist
Chattanooga Audubon Society (CAS) is inviting an artist to create a mural on our education building, Walker Hall. This is a building that is very visible on our main property Audubon Acres, which sees thousands of unique visitors year after year.
CAS and the region in which we operate has a rich and storied history. The mural we will commission will focus on illustrating "Where History and Nature Meet" with a special focus on depicting the history of Indigenous People in the area. After the mural is completed, we will host an unveiling ceremony on Indigenous People’s Day, October 13th 2025.
We will invite all people to apply to become our muralist, but will be looking for someone with a special interest in and extensive knowledge of Indigenous history.

Part-Time Field Trip Educator
Position Summary:
The Chattanooga Audubon Society is seeking enthusiastic and dependable part-time educators to lead hands-on, outdoor educational field trips for elementary-aged students at Audubon Acres. A large portion of our programming is historically based, focusing on the Indigenous cultures, pioneer life, and 19th-century developments in the Southern Tennessee region. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about history, ecology, and working with children in a natural setting.
Educators will guide groups through interactive stations that align with Tennessee state standards and encourage curiosity, exploration, and respect for the natural and cultural history of our region.

The Chattanooga Audubon Society is offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated Programs Intern to assist our Event and Program Coordinator in creating and managing engaging programming at Audubon Acres.

The Visitor Center Host Intern will play a crucial role in creating a positive and welcoming experience for visitors. This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in visitor services, communication, and event coordination. The selected candidate will work closely with our team to assist visitors, provide information about our organization, and contribute to the overall success of our visitor engagement initiatives.
