Pioneer Quilting Series

March 15th, 22nd, 29th and April 5th from 12pm-1pm

This is a 4-part series, where each class builds on the next. Participants are expected to attend all 4 sessions. 

Join us for a lunch-time treat! For 4 Fridays we'll be learning the art of hand quilting and creating our own squares suitable for a potholder or throw pillow.

Some supplies will be provided for you, but you will be required to purchase a few things after your first class. All you need for your first class is a sharp pair of scissors if you've got them.

• Part 1: We'll talk about supplies, what kind of fabric you'll need, and how to create a template.
• Part 2: Cutting fabric and start sewing your squares together
• Part 3: Your squares will need to be together so that they can start putting the quilting together, demonstrate some quilting techniques
• Part 4: We'll finish our projects together having an old-fashioned quilting bee​

Supplies needed:
Scissors, needles, hand-quilting thread, pins, a pin cushion, fabric pencil, a thimble, fabric *

*please don't buy supplies ahead of the first class.

This event is not suitable for children. The series cost is $30 for members and $40 for non-members.
