This program is best for ages 7+. Not for young children.
Herbal walk w/tea brewing workshop
In this workshop you will learn how to brew and make tea blends from the herbs that can be found right here in our forests. You will also be going on a walk where our instructor will be explaining various herbs, and how what individuals think are weeds can actually be properly identified, foraged and used as nourishing herbs for daily sustenance to enhance well-being. Additional Tea blends can be purchased from the instructor after the class.
Presenter-Michelle Neubel - Michelle earned a Chemistry/Art Degree at Chattanooga State and studied pre-physical therapy at UTK, received certifications in Aromatherapy/Esthetics. Currently, Michelle is working on a clinical herbalist certification with the American Herbalist Guild and studying medicinal mushrooms and foraging through Learn Your Land with Adam Haritan, Vice President of the Western Pennsylvania Mushroom Club. Michelle is the proprietor of Michelle's Herbal Products.
Cost for the herbal walk will be $10 for non-members and $5 for members.
Cost for the tea making workshop $25 Non-members and $15 for Members
