Learn how to identify and know the history of how indigenous cultures cultivate, harvest, and prepare medicinal herbs. Other areas of special interest include learning how wild foods, medicinal plants (native plants, trees, shrubs, ferns, wildflowers), and health boosting plants (tonic or adaptogenic) benefit the immune system in the body.
The first hour of class involves hiking through the woods and the second hour we will learn how to formulate a medicinal herbal and botanical tea blend in an outdoor camp style setting, and learn the benefits of relaxing in nature.
The medicinal herbal class includes small measuring utensils, herbs and botanicals, Kraft packaging, and handouts.
